| "Never Assume"
"He was despised and rejected a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins!" (Isaiah 53:3-4 NLT)
Never Assume
Isn't that always the way? We assume just because someone is going through a struggle that it is punishment from God. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone!"
Are we not our brother's keeper? Let us hold up the hands of our brethren just as Aaron and Hur did for Moses in the Book of Exodus until the Israelites defeated the armies of the Amalekites.
