I love the crisp, clear air of morning. I walk out of the door at 4 a.m. and it is like being in another place. Everything is so still, so clean, so refreshing. There is no traffic. No sounds. A still hush and a beautiful spacious sky full of stars. God's magnificence is so EMMENSE. I realize how small and insignificant everything is when compared to the greatness of who He is. Let us all give thanks with grateful hearts, to the loving Creator of our lives. He is truly, WORTHY of all of our praise, today and forevermore.

"Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin." - Psalms 51:2 (11/25/08)

Sometimes in life you need a bath. That's right if you want to win friends and influence people, you must present yourself, in a non "offensive" way. If you need to be clean in the natural can you imagine what you need in the spirit. It takes the loving hands of a Father, that knows you "inside and out" to alleviate your smelliness. Trust me, we have all fallen short of the Glory of God. I don't care what the holier than though crowd is spewing. We need a Savior, who is ready, willing and able to cleanse us of all unrighteousness and forgive us of all our sins. Thank God for the Atoning, Blood of Jesus. Amen to the King.

"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." - Colossians 3:2-3 (11/24/08)

We are dead men walking. No longer do we live, it is now Christ that lives in us, The HOPE OF GLORY. We are the Hope of this world. Don't be afraid. If you keep reading in this text you will find that one day the Lord will stand and we will be revealed among men, in HIM. We are very prominent, set apart individuals because of the Jesus on the inside, showing up on the outside. That is why it is so important that we exhibit the Presence of the King in our everyday lives. We are in Him, He is in us. King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Amen.

"For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" - Mark 8:36 (11/21/08)

We are at a time of the year when there is a lot of emphasis on giving. We as people of the Most High God know The Father gave the Son, The Son gave all He had, upon returning to Heaven, The Son sent the Spirit. As Sandi Patti would say, "And the gift goes on." Money is easy to give, even in this economy. Time and talents are not. Give in a way that causes you some discomfort. Now if giving money makes you say ouch, give money. Whatever costs you the most, give. The Bible says, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose "his soul?"

"Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah. " - Psalms 62:8 (11/20/08)

There are days when we reflect on our lives. Seeking at times, I think, to make sense of our choices and our futures. For me there is great solace in just knowing and experiencing the Love that keeps on giving, The Love of God. When no one else seems to understand you, where you are, your dreams and desires, your fears. God is standing there, ever waiting to show love, concern, care. He is a refuge ( a safe place to hide). He is a strong tower (an impenetrable fortress). He is a sanctuary (a place of peace). Those arms are always open wide just for you and I. Selah (to think about and ponder). In today's lingo, things that make you go hmmmm.

Then the Lord said: "I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you." - Exodus 34:10 (11/19/08)

That's right. The Lord is talking about you. Wouldn't you love it if the Lord did "awesome things with you everyday." The opportunity is there. The potential is there. The only thing we have to do is BE AVAILABLE! This means we have to remember the most important thing that can take place in this day for all of us is to do the "Will of God." When He releases us onto our jobs, into our class rooms, into our kids schools, He is setting someone up for the greatest encounter of their lives. He wants to use you and I. Start each day thanking God for His abundance in our lives and then make sure to ask Him, "What is my assignment today? Put me in coach, I'm ready." He wants to use each of us right where we are daily.

"Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You." Psalms 63:3 (11/18/08)

If it had not been for the Lord on my side...As we walk through this life I have become assured of several things. Maya Angelou says, "When someone shows you who they are believe them." The Lord can do anything but lie. What you see in His word is Him. Just because a person goes to church it does not mean they are a Christian. A Christian is someone who is "Christ Like." There are so many wonderful people in this world who are the epitome of Christ. It is amazing to experience His loving kindness through these genuine souls. The saddest part of this story is most of them are not inside of the church. The Body of Christ has done a poor job of reflecting the Heart of the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. It's time that we who call ourselves the "Body of Christ" start looking like Jesus. Start with the man in the mirror.

"Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name." - Psalms 86:11 (11/17/08)

When I read this scripture I began to ponder the point, "Unite my heart." I began to identify with David because it is so easy to be divided on things. One piece of your heart feels this way and another the other. He was asking the Lord to make His feelings, UNIFIED. In this confused and dazed world we live in, it is a necessity that we have a single mind, a single opinion about one thing, GOD. We have to know Him, like He knows us. We must desire to read His word and meditate on it. We must desire to spend time with Him, sharing our hearts and listening to His. Today more than ever we all have to know what and who we believe in, or surely we will fall for ANYTHING.

"The secret of the LORD is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant." - Psalms 25:14 (11/14/08)

I love it. God wants to share His secrets with us. All we have to do is want too. The Lord wants to reveal Himself to us in the most intimate ways. Why? Because He is a covenant keeping God. He loves His relationships. This is why He uses the relationship of Heaven to show us how ours are to be. Remember, Jesus said "Father, make them one as we are one." He wants us to be so connected with Him that He is able to open His heart and show us His love. Then He wants us to do the same with the people we encounter. And the gift goes on...Love just keeps giving!

"Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance..." - 1 Peter 1:13-14 (11/13/08)

Have you ever almost slipped on water on the ground, that you did not see? Have you slipped getting out of the tub? Have you ever skidded in your car on what they call black ice? We have all had "near mishaps" in life. Things that come out of no where and blind side you. As Christians we must remember that the enemy wants to blind side us. He wants to hit us when we are not looking. Setting traps everywhere. Defaming our names and character, not just among the world, also among the brethren. The enemy is a thief. The thief is always thinking of ways to take what does not belong to him. Remember, when you give your life to Jesus Christ, " Old things pass away." Sometimes satan tries to make us believe they are not dead, it's a trick. Be obedient to what you know is the truth and satan will remain defeated. We belong to Jesus, and that's the truth.

"Whereas the object and purpose of our instruction and charge is love, which springs from a pure heart and a good (clear) conscience and sincere (unfeigned) faith." - 1 Timothy 1:5 (11/12/08)

Love comes from a pure heart. It doesn't have counterfeit intentions. Love isn't running around looking for what it can get out of a relationship. Love seeks to give. It wants to do something for someone else. God's love, that should flow from our beings, should be an open example of His heart to this world. Connecting with the Lord intimately should be the key ingredient in connecting with our fellowman. We should so pour forth this love from His heart that many are drawn to us for a drink.

"The LORD will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, And in the night His song shall be with me— A prayer to the God of my life." - Psalms 42:8 (11/11/08)

You know God sings songs of deliverance over us. He sings songs of love over us. He loves music and shares the music of His heart and Heaven with us. Why is He so intimate with us? Why is He so willing to share Himself with us and we are so slow in sharing ourselves with Him or others? God is not guarded with His feelings about us. Though we reject Him. Ignore Him. Sometimes we just rebel and say we don't even want to hear it too Him. Yet He is relentless. He loves us and continues to use every situation in our lives to show His never failing love. Thank you Lord. Thank you for your love that covers a multitude of our sins. Thank you for your love which conquers all. May we learn from the way you love us to love others.

"Then He came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, What! Could you not watch with Me one hour?" - Matthew 26:40 (11/10/08)

The night of His betrayal Jesus went to the garden at Gethsemane to pray. He took with Him 3 of His closes friends. He was in agony about what He was about to face the next day and He wanted them to watch and pray with Him. When He came back to them after having gone a few feet away from them He found them sleeping. How does it make you feel when people you count on let you down? If you read on Jesus told them to pray so that they would not enter into temptation. Do you think if Peter had prayed He may not have betrayed Jesus? Maybe his flesh would not have been so weak. People will let you down. They let Jesus down and it is He that we strive to be like in our Christian journey. The spirit is willing, it is the flesh that is weak. Good intentions are never enough. We must have a determination that says, "If I am with you, I am with you." Thanks be to God, there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother, who is always available to us. Amen

"In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." - John 1:4-5 (11/7/08)

Creatures that live underground usually do not come out into the light of day. The brightness of the light, blinds them. It is the same with people who live their lives in darkness and here comes someone full of the light of Christ. Darkness cannot comprehend such light. Don't be concerned when you have such encounters with folks. Continually let your little light "shine." In a while there eyes will begin to grow accustomed to the light and they will gradually begin to change. All who have encountered Jesus the Christ change. It is impossible to be around true believers and not begin to see the T-R-U-T-H. Amen!

"God says, "Be still and know that I am God." - Psalms 46:10 a New Century Version (11/6/08)

How great is our God. Sometimes things happen in life so fast, and you are gripped with fear or terror. You just know the outcome of the situation is about to turn your world upside down. Then you hear the voice of the Spirit, saying, "Be still and know, I am GOD." A reassurance floods your being. You just know everything is going to be alright. It just doesn't matter how things appear, what matters is what you know to be true. God is God and there is none other. What He has done before, HE WILL DO AGAIN. We may not know how, we may not know when, but He will do it again. God is still God. Amen to the King.

"My dear friends, if you know people who have wandered off from God's truth, don't write them off. Go after them." - James 5:19 The Message Bible (11/5/08)

You know in today's society it is so easy to write things off. We write off bills, expenses, people. Yes we do. We will write folks off in a minute. I don't like the way they...Well according to the Word of God, it is our responsibility to our brethren to be their keepers. "Am I my brothers keeper, Cain asked?" He was being sarcastic at the time but the answer is yes. God placed us here to help one another. We are to strive with people the same way He strives with us. God doesn't write us off, He forgives us. He also reminds us that we are to forgive others as we have been forgiven. We must also care for others as we have been cared for. So if you see your brother wandering off the path, don't say, "let him go." Somebody go after him/her and remind them that they are loved.

"Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the Heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You." Jeremiah 32:17 (11/4/08)

This is a day of historical proportions. Today we will either elect the first black president of the USA or we will elect the first female vice-president of the United States of America. Only God knows at this time. Our prayers should always continue to be, "Not my will but yours oh Lord." He knows the thoughts and plans He has for America, thoughts of good and not evil, to give us a future and a hope. There is nothing to difficult for God. He will show us this. No matter what happens, GOD IS IN CONTROL!

"For I acknowledge my transgressions, And my sin is always before me." Psalms 51:3 (11/3/08)

You know truly God is the only one who forgives and forgets. We practice at it and though we may hold no malice against an individual, we remember what they did. When you can remember a wrong you've suffered and nothing inside of you jumps in pain or fear, you have forgiven. It doesn't erase what was done but it means what was done does not have a hold on you any longer. Our Father God, He throws our sins into the sea of forgetfulness. So once we repent, we need to let it go, God does.
